What Can I Say Except... Thank You

As young adults we all face trials. We all pay bills. We all struggle to keep up in school.

Along with trials, today’s world is focused on success, fortune, and image which makes us feel like we aren’t enough. With so many things on our minds we occasionally forget to reflect on the good things we do have.
When I first started college, it seemed like everything kept piling up and burying me alive. It seemed impossible to maintain school, work, and a social life, all at the same time. I thought, for sure, that the world was against me and nothing would ever be in my favor. That was until a friend recommended that I start a gratitude journal. She told me, at the end of every day she makes sure to write down at least one thing she is thankful for. As we were parting ways she told me that gratitude is the secret to happiness, and now, months after starting my own gratitude journal, I want to share with everyone that what my friend shared is completely true.
I encourage you to start a gratitude journal of your own, and there is no better time than this Thanksgiving/Christmas season. Happiness is truly about perspective and, I promise, if you try to recognize the good in every day, you will start to see a difference in your attitude towards life.
