Why the Scars?

My thought comes from an article that I saw a while back. This article talked about scars and how we all have them. Most of us have great stories behind those scars. Some make us laugh and others cry, but each holds a memory.

When the resurrected Savior appeared to His Apostles, He showed them His scars from the cross. The Savior, a resurrected being, had scars. Why? Isaiah 49:16 says "Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me." The Savior's scar story is us. He kept those marks not only to remind Him of us, it for us to remember that He loves us, He suffered for us, and He will lift us up when we need it most.
